1958 Aston Martin DB2/4 MkIII - sold
Sold new in February 1958 to Mr R H Jacobs of Johannesburg, this lovely matching numbers Aston returned to the UK in the late 90s and has been in the hands of one very enthusiastic owner since 2000. In the course of his ownership the MkIII has covered over 18,000 miles and benefited from an extensive programme of restoration work including a full bare metal respray in Pacific Blue; engine and gearbox rebuilds; new brakes, hubs, wheels and tyres, a partial retrim and numerous other works with a total spend in excess of £85,000. The history file contains invoices relating to this work and also an extensive photographic record of the restoration, original Aston Martin build sheets and a record of the car’s concours successes in 2014 and 2015.
A rare and desirable Aston Martin which is both stunning in appearance and fabulous to drive.
