Type: Alfa Romeo Spider Junior 1300cc
Year: 1970

Restoration Completed: 24/9/2004

As with most Alfa Romeos of this era, a small spot of rust on the surface hides a huge amount below the paintwork. Work to date has included the removal of the lower sills and rear quarters on both sides of the vehicle and refitting of new parts. As with many of these cars, not all of the panels are readily available anymore, so the rear quarters have been fabricated in-house along with much of the repaired sections of the boot lid.

The next stage will be to rebuild and refurbish the suspension and brakes before moving on to the trim and ancillaries, an engine rebuild and then to put the whole car into new paint.

The bodywork has now been painted in its original pale blue, also, all the suspension and braking system refurbished and refitted. The final stages will be checks on the engine before being refitted and re-installation of the trim together with a new mohair hood.
