Type: AC Empire Small Car
Year: 1925
Restoration Completed: 12/2/2005
The car came to us in the Autumn of 2003 for a relatively small job on the front axle. We removed the axle from the car and it was then stripped to have the king pins and bushes replaced. With the Customer’s consent we then completely cleaned the axle. It was then repainted and refitted in to the car.
The owner was so delighted he asked for the engine compartment to be ‘tidied’. This we were pleased to do but in the event the body was removed from the chassis and the car given a traditional clean and repaint. Two new wheels were sourced and the car went back into service in 2004 looking original and cared for.
